Company Overview:
We’re partnering with a global, high-growth organization seeking a Director of Accounting to lead North America accounting operations and serve as a key partner to senior leadership.

This is a high-impact role overseeing a multi-entity environment, driving financial reporting, leading a team, and helping modernize processes in a complex, international business.

Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Director of Accounting who holds a CPA and who has proven professional track record. This is a senior level position leading the North American Accounting functions which requires significant experience in a complex financial environment. 

The candidate will direct the day-to-day financial management of the Company as well as financial operational activities, and importantly will act as a strategic partner with the SVP of Accounting. This position requires a hard- working, hands on individual who can work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across a multi-entity environment
  • Oversee consolidations and intercompany accounting, partnering with international teams to ensure proper eliminations and alignment
  • Perform and review detailed analysis across key areas including revenue recognition, inventory, reserves, and cost of sales
  • Ensure the integrity of financials through balance sheet review, reconciliations, and strong ledger oversight
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, and senior leadership to support reporting, insights, and business decision-making
  • Support and lead key components of the external audit process, acting as a primary liaison for auditors
  • Drive process improvements and close optimization, with a focus on scalability, automation, and strengthening internal controls
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, while helping build structure and accountability as the organization grows

The Desired Background:
  • CPA required with strong technical accounting foundation
  • Experience in complex, multi-entity environments (global exposure preferred)
  • Background in financial reporting, consolidations, and close leadership
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
  • Prior team leadership experience with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
