Our client, a rapidly scaling technology company, is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Manager to support continued growth and increasing accounting complexity.
Location:
San Francisco, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 4 days per week in the office.
Job Description:
This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting, financial reporting, and business partnership, and will play a key role in strengthening accounting foundations and scalable processes. The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, comfortable operating in an evolving environment, and enjoys partnering cross-functionally to solve complex problems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead research, documentation, and application of technical accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP
- Own revenue recognition processes and support contract review and revenue-related analyses
- Serve as a technical accounting resource to stakeholders across the organization
- Lead or support the preparation of internal and external financial reporting deliverables
- Manage equity-related accounting activities and support coordination with internal partners
- Assist with audit activities and preparation of supporting documentation
- Partner with tax advisors and internal teams to support compliance and reporting needs
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale accounting processes and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply guidance in complex scenarios
- Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes
