Our client is sourcing a Director, FP&A, for a 14-month contract.
About the Opportunity
- Lead and manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes in partnership with business and functional leaders, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Produce and present regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), including detailed variance analysis across income statement, cash flow, and capital expenditures.
- Develop a strong understanding of revenue streams, cost drivers, and operational factors impacting profitability, headcount, and cash flow.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights to support senior leadership decision-making.
- Continuously improve planning processes, forecasting methodologies, and reporting frameworks to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
- Maintain and enhance integrated financial models linking income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow for planning and scenario analysis.
- Build and manage advanced spreadsheet models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, ensuring they are structured, scalable, and reliable.
- Leverage financial systems and data tools to automate reporting, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort.
- Partner with corporate and functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, including reviewing assumptions and analyzing variances.
- Support period-end activities by validating key assumptions, accruals, and financial estimates to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, strengthening capabilities in financial analysis, modeling, and business partnering.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high-quality financial output.
About You
- Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis within a complex organization.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet modeling, including complex formulas, scenario analysis, and building end-to-end financial models.
- Experience working with integrated financial models and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial systems, planning tools, and data/reporting platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and ensure data integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, reporting, or financial models.
- Solid business acumen and understanding of how financial results connect to operational drivers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
