Overview:
A well-established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller / Controller to support financial operations and strategic initiatives. This role will partner closely with executive leadership and oversee core accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The position offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity to help drive process improvements and long-term financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP and company policies

Prepare and review internal and external financial reporting, including management reporting and executive-level materials

Assist with development and oversight of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning

Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational and strategic goals

Establish and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures

Partner with senior leadership to support financial analysis, risk assessment, and business decision-making

Coordinate external audits and collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party partners

Oversee tax compliance and planning activities, including corporate and indirect taxes

Lead and mentor accounting staff, including performance management, training, and development

Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements

Support cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects as needed
Qualifications:
-
Progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls

Experience managing audits and working with external advisors
-
Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements
-
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:

CPA or advanced accounting/finance degree preferred
-
Experience supporting multi-entity or operationally complex organizations is a plus
