Overview
We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join a growing healthcare technology organization during a critical build-out phase of its accounting function. This role will be the first revenue-focused hire and will play a key role in stabilizing billing and collections while helping design scalable, best-practice revenue processes.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong SaaS background who enjoys stepping into lean, evolving environments and making an immediate impact. There is a clear opportunity to grow into a Revenue Accounting Manager role over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the SaaS contract-to-cash process for a growing customer base
- Analyze customer contracts and statements of work to apply revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Process billing for new and renewing SaaS customer contracts
- Improve billing accuracy, invoicing completeness, and collections speed
- Perform customer account reconciliations and identify revenue leakage or opportunities
- Review and explain revenue trends, fluctuations, and variances
- Support monthly close activities including reconciliations, flux analysis, and reporting inputs
- Work cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Operations, and Business teams
- Identify process gaps across systems and recommend scalable, automated solutions
- Participate in or lead implementation of new tools and process improvements
- Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports related to revenue and operational performance
What We’re Looking For
- Strong SaaS revenue accounting experience is required (must be core background, not limited exposure)
- Hands-on experience with ASC 606 and contract analysis
- Proven ability to operate in manual or underdeveloped environments and build structure
- Experience improving or designing billing and revenue processes, not just executing them
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working in lean teams with changing priorities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Preferred Experience
- Experience with systems such as Salesforce, subscription billing platforms (e.g., Maxio), and cloud-based ERPs (e.g., Sage Intacct)
- Background in healthcare, technology, or subscription-based businesses
- Experience supporting automation and optimization initiatives
