Our client, a rapidly scaling technology-enabled services company, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead general ledger operations and support a growing, multi-entity environment.
Location:
Austin, TX. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 3 days/week in the office.
Job Description:
This role will partner closely with accounting and operational teams to drive accurate financial reporting, strengthen processes, and manage a small team through continued growth. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities:
- Own general ledger activities and ensure accurate, timely month-end close across multiple entities
- Manage and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and close deliverables
- Support consolidated financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, payroll, and invoicing teams to ensure compliant accounting processes
- Identify and implement process improvements to support scalability and efficiency
- Support quarterly and annual audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses
- Lead and develop accounting team members through coaching, feedback, and performance management
- Serve as a business partner to internal stakeholders, providing financial insight and support
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
- 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Hands-on experience with month-end close in a multi-entity environment
- Ability to operate independently and lead in a growing, dynamic organization
