Position Summary

The National Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing customer relationships across a national territory. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining existing accounts, and executing strategic sales initiatives to achieve company sales targets. The ideal candidate is results-driven, self-motivated, and skilled at building long-term partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to maximize account potential
  • Conduct virtual and in-person sales presentations to key decision-makers
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts
  • Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines
  • Track and manage pipeline activity using CRM software

Account Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact for national accounts
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly
  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure successful product/service delivery
  • Conduct regular account reviews and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities

Market & Reporting Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity
  • Provide sales forecasts and regular performance reports
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–7 years of sales experience, preferably in B2B or national account management
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel nationally (as required)
