? Overview
We are partnering with a well-established organization to hire a Facilities Operations Manager to oversee multi-building campus operations in NYC. This role is ideal for a leader with strong experience managing engineering and janitorial teams within a higher education environment.
? Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day facilities operations across approximately 8–10 buildings
- Lead and manage a team including a Director of Engineering, Supervisors, and Foremen
- Ensure efficient delivery of engineering, maintenance, and janitorial services
- Drive operational excellence, safety, and compliance across the campus
- Develop and implement process improvements and best practices
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning and facilities initiatives
? Qualifications
- Proven experience managing engineering and janitorial departments within a higher education / college campus environment (required)
- Strong leadership experience overseeing multi-level teams
- Experience managing multi-site or campus-style operations
- Solid understanding of facilities management, maintenance, and compliance
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
