Salary: $115,000-$125,000

Role Description
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established, highly respected facilities services organization supporting a large, high-profile campus environment in New York City.
This individual will serve as the primary on-site leader, with full accountability for day-to-day performance, team oversight, issue resolution, and adherence to service expectations and contractual KPIs. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in campus facilities operations, a proactive management style, and the ability to lead in a demanding, client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations across a multi-building campus, ensuring consistent execution of engineering and janitorial services.
- Provide full operational oversight for service delivery, staffing, quality, and overall site performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships through responsive communication, transparency, and proactive issue resolution.
- Oversee work order activity to ensure all requests are properly assigned, tracked, documented, and closed out in a timely manner.
- Drive performance against contractual KPIs and service standards, using reporting tools and operational data to monitor results and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain a strong leadership presence on site, including regular walkthroughs, inspections, and direct visibility with both teams and client leadership.
- Lead, coach, and develop site leadership and frontline teams, including engineering leadership, supervisors, and foremen.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and alignment of resources across buildings, shifts, and operational priorities.
- Manage vendor performance and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and service expectations.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections of engineering and janitorial operations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement across the campus operation.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and improve efficiency, consistency, and service quality.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of leadership experience in facilities management, janitorial operations, engineering operations, or related environments.
- Required experience managing operations within a higher education, university, or campus setting.
- Required experience overseeing both engineering and janitorial functions.
- Strong background working in union environments, including 32BJ or similar.
- Proven success managing complex, high-visibility, client-facing operations.
- Experience working in KPI-driven environments with a strong focus on accountability, reporting, and service delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility management, work order, and reporting systems.
