Role: Accounts Payable Lead
Salary: $165,000 - $175,000/annually Bonus & Benefits
Location: Manhattan (3 days a week onsite)
Job Description:
Finance Systems & Optimization
-
System Administration: Serve as the functional owner for NetSuite and Concur, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

Continuous Improvement: Partner with IT to lead system upgrades, automate manual workflows, and scale tools to meet organizational growth.

Data Integrity: Maintain rigorous standards for system functionality and financial data accuracy.
Accounts Payable & Compliance
-
Full-Cycle Management: Supervise the AP lifecycle from invoice ingestion to final disbursement.

Control & Governance: Develop, document, and enforce internal AP controls and policies to mitigate risk and ensure policy adherence.

Tax & Reporting: Oversee year-end 1099 processing and vendor master file maintenance.

Vendor Relations: Manage key vendor partnerships and resolve complex billing discrepancies.
Treasury & Cash Management

Liquidity Oversight: Lead daily cash management, including reporting, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.

Transactions: Execute high-level banking activities, including domestic/international wires, ACH payments, and deposits.

Banking Strategy: Monitor banking relationships and proactively recommend strategies to optimize fees and liquidity.
Expense Management

Policy Ownership: Design and maintain global expense reimbursement policies that balance employee needs with fiscal responsibility.

Auditing: Review employee expense reports for compliance, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Team Leadership

Mentorship: Lead and develop a high-performing team of 1–2 direct reports.

Culture: Foster a departmental environment rooted in accountability, collaboration, and process innovation.
Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA, CPA, or CTP is highly preferred.

Experience: 10 years of progressive finance operations experience, with a heavy emphasis on AP and Treasury.

Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in NetSuite and Concur is required, including experience with implementations or optimizations.

Banking Expertise: Proven track record managing domestic and international wire transfers and professional banking relationships.

Analytical Rigor: A deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis.

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex financial processes for non-finance stakeholders.

Integrity: Uncompromising ethics and attention to detail in financial reporting.
