Interim Senior Accountant POST NUMBER: 477972
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and intercompany transactions
- Perform daily and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances timely
- Execute assigned portions of the month-end and quarter-end close process
- Compile and analyze financial data to support internal and parent company reporting requirements
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting packages
- Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies
- Partner with internal departments to gather data and resolve discrepancies
- Support external audit requests by preparing and organizing required documentation
- Meet all close deadlines, including reporting to parent company by business day 7
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (corporate or public accounting)
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
- Proven ability to work within tight close deadlines (5–7 business day close)
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Great Plains or similar preferred)
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
