Role: Manager, Compensation and Total Rewards
Salary: $175,000 - $200,000 bonus
Location: New York City – On-site 5 days a week
About the role: A fast-growing financial services and technology organization is seeking a Compensation Manager to help shape and manage its approach to compensation, benefits, and people-related programs. This role offers the opportunity to build and evolve key frameworks that support how the company attracts, motivates, and retains talent across multiple regions. Working closely with senior leadership and people partners, this individual will contribute to both the design and execution of compensation strategies, benefits programs, and supporting processes. The role blends analytical work with day-to-day operations and requires comfort navigating both strategic initiatives and hands-on responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and maintenance of compensation structures, including salary, incentives, and equity-related programs
- Use market data and internal insights to guide compensation decisions and inform annual review cycles
- Build and manage financial models and analyses that help leadership make informed talent decisions
- Partner with internal teams to translate compensation data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Oversee benefits-related activities, including administration, vendor coordination, and employee support
- Act as a go-to resource for employees seeking guidance on compensation and benefits offerings
- Assist with onboarding by helping new employees understand available programs and policies
- Maintain and utilize HR systems for reporting, analysis, and data accuracy
- Collaborate with external partners and service providers to ensure programs remain competitive and compliant
Background & Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in compensation, rewards, or related analytical roles
- Familiarity with compensation structures and practices across multiple geographies
- Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of HR fundamentals, particularly in compensation and benefits
- Experience working with HR systems and tools
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Clear and confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- Organized and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of initiatives
- Collaborative approach, with strong partnership skills across teams
- Curious mindset with an interest in improving processes and programs over time

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
