About the Opportunity:
An established global manufacturing and technology company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This organization offers a collaborative environment, strong leadership, and the opportunity to gain exposure to a global, public-company structure.
This role will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting processes, supporting financial reporting, and partnering cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
-Manage inventory reserve including reconciliations, adjustments and reporting
-Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reporting packages
-Support external audit processes by preparing schedules and assisting with audit requests
-Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis
-Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
-Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
-Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, to analyze financial data (including inventory)
-Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-CPA preferred
-3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Senior Accountant level
-Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
-Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
-Experience in a public company or supporting publicly traded clients required
-Exposure to inventory accounting, including reserves and analysis
-Experience working in a global or multi-currency environment is a plus
-Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
-Excellent communication and business partnering skills
Preferred Experience:
-Public accounting background
-ERP experience (JDE, Oracle, or similar)
-Multi-Currency (fx) experience
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
