Our client is a real estate investment trust company. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting to join their team!

- Monthly Consolidation Close
- Support the monthly consolidation of financial results across all jurisdictions (Canada, U.S. and Europe), including the preparation of consolidation entries, intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
- Perform variance analysis on consolidated results and investigate significant fluctuations and underlying drivers.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Quarterly and Annual Financial Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), including note disclosures.
- Analyze consolidated results, perform variance analysis, and investigate significant fluctuations and underlying business drivers.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly close deliverables.
- Process Improvement & Technical Accounting
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including automation initiatives and best practices, to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Research technical accounting issues and support the implementation of new and amended IFRS.
- Other
- Prepare statutory financial statements for legal entities to support tax filings.
- Maintain and document effective internal controls over financial reporting.
- Assist with and/or lead special projects and ad-hoc analysis.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- 2 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or public accounting, ideally from large publicly traded organizations.
- Experience in a multicurrency environment or the real estate industry is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager 7s and/or Workiva is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and departments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement including an openness to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence as a tool to improve operating efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
$90,000 - $95,000 / year
