Corporate Accounting Manager POST NUMBER: 417635
Our client is seeking a skilled and collaborative Accounting Manager to oversee their corporate GL accounting team and lead monthly consolidations. The ideal candidate will have a blend of public and corporate accounting experience, expertise in consolidation mapping, and a leadership mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management- Oversee daily general ledger operations and month-end close processes
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Maintain the chart of accounts and implement any necessary changes
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
- Monitor cash flow and manage collections process
- Lead the annual budgeting process
- Prepare and analyze budget variance reports
- Assist in budget-to-actual comparisons and explanation
- Oversee the consolidation process for multiple entities or subsidiaries
- Develop and maintain consolidation mapping structures
- Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany transactions
- Reconcile and validate consolidated financial statements
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Develop and maintain key financial reports for management
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a management role
- Public accounting and manufacturing sector experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with consolidation processes and multi-entity reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
