An established, private equity-backed company in Nashville is growing its accounting team and is hiring a Senior Accountant. This newly created position offers the opportunity to work across several areas of accounting, including revenue recognition, tax, financial reporting, ERP implementation, process optimization, and acquisition integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Contribute to financial reporting and provide analysis to support business decisions
  • Support revenue accounting and revenue cycle activities
  • Coordinate tax-related processes, including payments, reconciliations, and working with outside tax advisors
  • Play a key role in integrating newly acquired businesses and supporting an ERP system implementation
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled efficiencies
  • Collaborate with finance leadership on cross-functional initiatives and special projects

Qualifications

  • 4 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Public accounting background is a plus, but not required
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience supporting tax functions, including sales and use tax, tax accruals, or compliance activities
  • Revenue accounting experience is beneficial
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of certification is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
