We are looking for an experienced legal professional to handle commercial closing agent duties for a growing company. The Commercial Loan Closing Agent is responsible for coordinating and managing the closing process for commercial real estate loan transactions from approval through funding. This position works closely with lenders, borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and third-party vendors to ensure all closing requirements are satisfied, legal documents are accurate, and transactions are completed efficiently and in compliance with applicable regulations. A background in legal documentation, paralegal studies, or commercial real estate law is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of commercial loan closings, including scheduling, document preparation, and funding.
Review loan approvals and commitment letters to ensure closing conditions are met.
Prepare, review, and organize commercial loan closing packages for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, surveyors, insurance agents, and other third parties to obtain required documentation.
Review title commitments, surveys, organizational documents, and legal opinions to identify and resolve closing issues.
Ensure loan documentation complies with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and lender guidelines.
Coordinate funding and disbursement of loan proceeds upon satisfaction of closing conditions.
Maintain accurate loan files and ensure all executed documents are properly recorded and archived.
Track post-closing requirements, including receipt of recorded documents, title policies, and outstanding closing items.
Communicate effectively with internal lending teams, legal counsel, and customers throughout the closing process.
Identify and resolve documentation or legal issues that may delay loan closings.
Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial loan closings, commercial real estate, banking, title, or legal support.
Experience reviewing commercial loan documents and real estate closing documentation.
Paralegal certification or previous experience working in a law firm, title company, or legal department is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of commercial lending practices, title insurance, escrow procedures, and real estate transactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial loan origination or document management systems.
