Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles. This position involves maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and managing accrual accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and prepare corresponding financial statements.
- Manage accrual accounting processes, including recording and monitoring accrued expenses and revenues.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing detailed analysis and insights.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Prepare and submit regulatory and compliance reports in a timely manner.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accrual accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
