ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

We have been engaged by a high-growth company in the services sector ($200-300M revenue) to recruit an experienced Assistant Controller. This Atlanta-based company is backed by private equity investors and is positioned for ongoing acquisitions and continual growth. This is an outstanding opportunity to join on the front end of this growing organization and help build a team, and develop processes, policy, systems and structure for scalable future growth.  The company offers a competitive compensation and benefits plan and room for career development and growth.

 
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for helping to develop scalable accounting processes, systems, and policies as it relates to financial reporting, Accounts Payable, month end close, GL Accounting, Accounts Receivable, internal controls, and GAAP compliance. Additionally, this role will work closely with the external Audit firm, help with acquisition integrations, assist with a system implementation, manage and mentor staff, and drive continuous improvements. This position will be managing a team of 4-6 accounting staff.
 
The right candidate for this Assistant Controller opportunity will have:
  • CPA designation
  • 9-11 years of relevant and progressive experience
  • Experience managing an accounting team
  • A wide breadth of accounting experience, including: reporting, month end close, GAAP compliance, AR, AP, internal controls, and technical accounting
  • Experience working in a high growth company and supporting acquisition accounting integrations
  • Strong systems acumen and experience working with variety of accounting systems
  • Strong understanding of technical accounting topics
  • History of job stability and progression
