Accounts Payable Associate POST NUMBER: 422833
Location: 636 Girard Avenue, East Aurora NY 14052

Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily payables functions for the America’s, including but not limited to daily invoice processing queues, metric reviews, aging reduction, cash forecasting, payments, reconciliations and critical month end close activities
• Liaison with both internal teams and 3rd party BPO provider
• Support vendor master maintenance and 2nd validations for banking details
• Adhere to all SOX controls
• Prioritize AP Aging items such as unpaid invoices, unclaimed property.
• Provide direction, coaching, and formal feedback to team members, including 3rd party for general vendor inquires on invoice holds, payment status or items stuck in workflow
• Meet periodically with MGSS process leads and managers to provide download of activities, status of projects and/or any activities that may pose a threat to keeping project timelines
• Provide project support to test new system applications
• Keep projects on track and on budget
• Ensure desktop procedures are in line with current processes and policies
Qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of Accounts Payable workflows, including controls, cash funding and reconciling to forecast amounts.
• Experience in Procure to Pay, including vendor onboarding & maintenance, invoicing and payment activities for both 3rd Party and Intercompany billings
• Ability to independently research and resolve questions related data conversion/validation
• Financial system implementation experience is a plus
• Understanding of financial data, accounting, and reporting impacts
• Proactive at identifying and correcting data quality issues
• Detail-oriented to confirm reconciliations and capture data defects
• Strong analytical skills
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel including Pivots, and lookups
• Understanding of data quality and cleansing processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
• Clear process improvement focus, systematic and organized
• Oracle and Coupa experience preferred
• 5 years of work experience
• Minimum Associate or BS in Accounting or Finance
