6 month Contract, Data Analyst, 4 days onsite, $55/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, and present data.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau to provide meaningful business insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements, ensuring accurate and actionable reporting.
- Analyze large datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor data integrity and resolve any discrepancies or quality issues.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and contribute to continuous improvement of data reporting processes.
- Document methodologies and processes for maintaining consistency and reproducibility in data analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience with SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent), with the ability to write efficient, complex queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- 3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for data cleansing or automation.
- Experience working in Agile environments, using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps for backlog refinement and task management.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide actionable recommendations based on data findings.
