AP/Payroll Specialist - 6 Month Contract POST NUMBER: 425096
About the Opportunity
Accounts Payable
- Process invoices and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding vendor payments.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable records to ensure accuracy.
Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and bonuses.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Handle payroll inquiries and provide support to employees regarding pay-related questions.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports as required.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes.
General Duties
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and ensure timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices in payroll and accounts payable.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in accounts payable and payroll processing, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll regulations, and tax compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.
Hourly Rate
$28 - $32/hr
