Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:
Vaco Orange County is seeking detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialists to join our clients growing team of accounting professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing financial transactions efficiently and accurately. You’ll work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payment processing, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and code invoices, ensuring accurate and timely entry into the system
- Review and verify invoices and payment requests for appropriate documentation and approval
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, and check runs
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations
- Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing of AP-related documents
- Support internal and external audits related to AP activities
- Assist with process improvements to streamline AP functions
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related role
- Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Experience with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar systems)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in industries such as logistics, manufacturing, or technology is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable
Employment Type: Full-time, Temp-to-hire, or Contract roles available
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience ($28 - $35/hr)
