Senior Accountant POST NUMBER: 426972
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for daily accounting duties, month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting and analysis.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly journal entries
Prepares Balance Sheet reconciliations including cash
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Prepare financial management reports
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
Monitors accounting control procedures are followed
Support of budget and forecast activities
Prepares bridge analysis for the P&L
Prepares monthly sales tax
Develop and maintain financial data bases (Visual, BFC, SAP)
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Financial Modeling
Excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of GAAP
Requires extensive use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in accounting. Five or more years of direct experience in accounting; budget preparation and financial reporting. Prior experience with ERP systems is a plus.
