Vaco is working with a leading provider in the healthcare industry, committed to delivering high-quality patient care and innovative solutions to identify a skilled Insurance Risk Manager to join their team and contribute to the development and implementation of risk management strategies that protect the organization's assets and mitigate potential liabilities.

Job Summary:
The Insurance Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing insurance-related risks within the healthcare organization. This role involves developing risk management plans, collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining insurance coverage to protect the company’s interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and evaluate potential risks associated with healthcare operations, facilities, and patient care.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize the organization’s exposure to liability.
  • Maintain and manage the company’s insurance portfolio, including general liability, professional liability, and property insurance.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and clinical departments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of exposure and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Assist in managing claims and coordinate with insurers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on risk management initiatives and insurance trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in risk management or insurance within the healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, claims management, and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Certification in Risk Management or Insurance (ARM, CPCU, or similar) is a plus.
