Senior Financial Analyst – 12 Month Contract
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial planning and forecasting
- Support quarterly forecasting processes, annual budget cycles, and long-range planning activities.
- Maintain forecast assumptions and coordinate planning submissions within Anaplan.
- Develop scenario analyses and financial models to support planning activities.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
Financial business partnering
- Partner with budget owners and business leaders to support financial planning and resource allocation decisions.
- Lead monthly operating expense reviews and provide analysis of spending trends, forecast accuracy, and key variances.
- Challenge assumptions and support stakeholders in evaluating investment decisions and trade-offs.
- Build effective partnerships across commercial, medical, market access, enablement, and support functions.
Financial reporting and analysis
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and management reporting packages.
- Perform variance analysis and communicate the drivers of financial performance.
- Provide clear and concise financial insights for management and executive reporting.
- Consolidate information from multiple data sources to support business decisions.
Governance, controls, and compliance
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reviews.
- Ensure costs are recorded accurately and in the appropriate accounting period and financial structure.
- Maintain financial controls and governance processes to support reporting accuracy.
- Support audit activities and remediation initiatives as required.
- Partner with stakeholders to support compliance with corporate policies and financial standards.
Process improvement and systems support
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and financial processes.
- Support automation initiatives using digital tools, reporting solutions, and advanced analytics.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.
- Serve as the primary finance point of contact for Anaplan planning activities, including forecast submissions, system support, troubleshooting, and user guidance.
REQUIREMENTS:
· CPA / MBA / or at the end of the process
· 3 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, or a related financial planning role.
· Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes
· Experience working directly with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
· Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry is considered an asset.
SKILLS
· Strong financial planning, forecasting, modelling, and analytical skills.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Experience with Anaplan, SAP, Power BI, Cognos, or similar planning and reporting tools.
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
· Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-finance audiences.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
· Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization and value creation.
Pay Rate
$50.00/ Hour
