Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Consultant with strong expertise in Workday and Workday implementation support to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring accurate payroll processes, supporting successful Workday implementations, and managing data integrity. The ideal candidate will have deep payroll knowledge, experience in handling data extraction, and resolving duplicate employee records within Workday, along with a background in payroll implementation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing & Support:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Address payroll-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues within Workday to provide prompt and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to align payroll processes with broader HRIS and financial functions.

Data Extraction & Cleanup:
- Perform data extraction and validation activities, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across Workday.
- Identify, review, and resolve duplicate employee records in Workday, maintaining clean and reliable data for payroll processing.
- Assist with data audits and verification to support payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Workday Implementation & Configuration:
- Support Workday payroll implementation, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
- Configure and customize payroll settings within Workday to meet business needs and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
- Facilitate data migration, validation, and payroll parallel testing to verify system accuracy and consistency.

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a trusted advisor for clients, providing insights on Workday payroll best practices and process improvements.
- Partner with stakeholders to define payroll requirements, offering customized Workday solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Conduct training sessions for client payroll teams on Workday processes, ensuring smooth adoption and long-term success.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance:
- Monitor Workday releases and updates, assessing and implementing new features to enhance payroll operations.
- Ensure payroll processes remain compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, adjusting system settings as needed.
- Analyze payroll operations and workflows to identify areas for improvement, increasing efficiency, and reducing manual workload.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years focused on Workday payroll or related modules.
- Workday Expertise: Proficiency in Workday payroll configuration, troubleshooting, implementation support, and data management.
- Project Experience: Hands-on experience in payroll implementations and post-go-live support within Workday, including data migration, extraction, and record cleanup.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of payroll systems, reporting, and integration tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll compliance requirements in the U.S. (global experience is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: Workday Payroll Certification or similar HRIS certifications are a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Soft Skills: Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain strong client relationships.
