Location: Long Island City, NY

90 Day onsite then move to Hybrid

Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee inquiries via phone, mail, and email to ensure employee understanding and satisfaction.
- Distributes materials according to communications content and departmental procedures. Completes forms neatly, secures appropriate signatures, and forwards documents/forms to correct destination based on pertinent medical leave.
- Scan all necessary document into the WFO system
- Serve as a resource for all medical leave-related questions, processes, and procedures for employees.
- Counsel and follow up with employees regarding their medical leave period and return-to-work dates.
- Assist with the administration and tracking all company leaves of absence, including FMLA, parental leave, paid family leave, short-term disability, and other federal, state, and local leaves.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications and Competencies:
• High School Degree required, College degree desired or equivalent work experience.
• Must be fluent in Spanish.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, physicians' offices and insurance carriers
• 3 Years of prior administrative experience with a focus on Human Resources preferred, or medical clerical experience.
• Must be highly organized with great attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy.
• Proficiency of Excel and Microsoft Suite systems, high comfort level leveraging reporting tools daily.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a highly fast-paced environment and operate multiple phone lines.
• Practices open and continuous communication to ensure a strong follow up.
• Self-starter able to work with a high degree of urgency and under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset – ability to analyze and interpret data to draw accurate conclusions, prioritize work, and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Strong relationship building skills, specifically able to build effective relationships with the staff and management.
• Professionalism and discretion along with excellent prioritization skills.
