Role: Director of Finance
Salary: $175,000 - $190,000/annually Bonus
Location: Long Island City, NY - *Hybrid - 3 days a week in office*
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and strategic initiatives. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial principles, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth through sound financial strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Accounting and Reporting:
- Oversee the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Financial Operations:
- Optimize financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement robust internal controls and risk management procedures.
- Manage cash flow and treasury functions, including banking relationships and investments.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Mentor and coach team members to achieve their full potential.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Strategic Partnerships:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and profitability.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and lenders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification highly desirable.
- 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP system
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
