Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Donor Records Manager to join our dynamic Non-Profit Organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable functions. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including billing, collections, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
***This person will be primarily doing adjustments and modifying gifts that have already been posted to the G/L creating an audit
- Billing:
- Prepare, review, and process accurate and timely invoices to clients and donors.
- Ensure invoices are properly coded and routed for approval.
- Maintain accurate records of all billing activities.
- Collections:
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Contact clients and donors to collect overdue payments.
- Maintain detailed records of all collection efforts.
- Cash Posting:
- Accurately and timely post cash receipts to the accounting system.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare daily cash reports.
- Reporting:
- Generate accurate and timely reports on accounts receivable activities, including aging reports and collection metrics.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Raiser's Edge).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
