Job Description:
We are partnering with a large, global industrial client to find an experienced Tax Manager to join their dynamic team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work closely with a stellar executive team and make a significant impact on the organization’s tax strategy. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing US (federal and state) tax compliance, managing tax provisions, leading a team of staff, and forecasting tax cash impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee US federal and state tax compliance and ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns
- Manage tax provisions, including quarterly and annual reporting
- Lead, train, and develop tax staff, providing guidance on tax compliance and provision matters
- Forecast and manage tax cash flow impacts
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws
- Assist with tax planning and projects as needed
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy and efficiency within the tax department
Required Qualifications:
- CPA designation (required)
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in corporate tax compliance and provision
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of tax professionals
- Experience working within a large company’s corporate Tax department
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
- Proficiency with tax software systems (Onesource preferred)
- Big 4 experience is highly preferred
- Strong desire and ability to be a "working" manager—actively reviewing staff work and participating in hands-on preparation of tax filings
