Our client is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the community. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. This individual will play a key role in managing financial processes and supporting the finance team.
Job Description:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for handling a variety of financial tasks, including billing, budget tracking, reporting, and month-end close support. The ideal candidate will ensure that all activities are completed accurately and on time while complying with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Invoicing:
- Manage the billing process for multiple funding sources.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of invoices and related documents.

Budget & Expense Tracking:
- Support the development and tracking of budgets.
- Monitor expenses to ensure they align with budget allocations.

Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial reports.
- Ensure that financial records are accurate and compliant with relevant requirements.

Month-End Support:
- Assist in the reconciliation and recording of financial transactions.
- Support the finance team in month-end closing activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or finance is preferred.
- Familiarity with nonprofit accounting practices is a plus.
- Proficiency with accounting software (experience with QuickBooks or similar platforms preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
