Job Description: System Administrator 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication to support end-users and ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Maintenance and Support:

    • Monitor, maintain, and optimize servers, workstations, and network devices to ensure high availability and performance.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch management, system backups, and security updates.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  2. User Support:

    • Provide second-level technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity.
    • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning and deactivating user accounts and equipment.
  3. Infrastructure Management:

    • Manage Active Directory, group policies, and domain services.
    • Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
    • Administer cloud services such as Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS.
  4. Security and Compliance:

    • Ensure systems adhere to company policies and industry regulations, including data protection and confidentiality requirements.
    • Monitor for security vulnerabilities and implement best practices to mitigate risks.
    • Maintain and enforce endpoint protection and firewalls.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and compliance.
  6. Project Involvement:

    • Assist in IT infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
    • Collaborate with vendors and other IT team members to implement new technologies and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
    • Networking knowledge, including LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
    • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IT systems in industries such as legal, real estate, or entertainment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network , Security , Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or VMware Certified Professional.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
