About the Opportunity
- Oversee the daily accounting and finance activities including management the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Supervise a team of 4-5 accountants in a growing department
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including a balance sheet and income and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with CFO and Director of FP&A to improve the financial function
- Review and approve payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, and timely disbursement of funds.
- Coordinate the annual audit of financial statements and liaise with external accountants.
- Oversee the activity of cost accountants embedded in the Project Management Department.
- Contribute to the design and upgrade of operational workflows and processes to ensure that data is accurately translated into corporate financial records.
- Assist in the monthly reporting and analysis of financial results including detailed variance review of the month’s operational results. Review and prepare various journal entries and account reconciliations including capital leases.
- Provide support and financial assistance in an efficient and timely manner to various stakeholders.
- The ability to identify and implement process and efficiency initiatives.
- Provide guidance, assistance and mentorship to finance team members.
About You
- Open to any designation
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Industry experience (excluding FI)
- Strong people management skills
- Background in small to mid-sized organizations
- Proficient in NetSuite and Excel
- Knowledge of ASPE reporting standards
- Expertise in financial statements and controllership
Salary
$155,000 - $165,000/year
