Financial Analyst POST NUMBER: 434085
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our client in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing financial analysis, assisting with the forecasting and budgeting processes, and providing reporting to support business decision-making and strategic planning. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret financial data, and a solid understanding of financial modeling and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that support management in decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Monitor and report on budget-to-actual performance, highlighting significant deviations.
- Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and financial scenario analysis.
- Investigate and explain variances between actual and forecasted results, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Support business leaders with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to assist in decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, sales, and accounting) to gather information and ensure financial accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Experience with financial software (ERP systems, such as Great Plains, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
