Interim Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets
Our client, a life sciences technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support fixed asset accounting activities during a temporary leave coverage period.
This role is hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the option for fully remote work for qualified candidates. This role has an initial duration of approximately 2 months, with the potential of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day fixed asset accounting activities and maintain accurate fixed asset records
- Process asset additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and other fixed asset transactions
- Track asset movements and ensure location transfers and related accounting entries are recorded accurately
- Support high-volume fixed asset activity during month-end close and reporting cycles
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, reconciliations, and accounting documentation
- Assist with prepaid expense accounting and related close activities
- Partner with the accounting team to ensure transactions are processed accurately and on schedule
- Investigate and resolve fixed asset accounting issues with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with fixed asset accounting in an ERP environment
- Demonstrated experience processing fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers, and impairments
- Solid understanding of month-end close processes and related accounting procedures
- Senior Accountant-level experience or higher, with the ability to operate independently
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of accounting activity
- Experience with prepaid expense accounting is preferred but not required
