Medical AR Collections Specialist – Local Remote (South Florida)

Vaco is hiring Medical Accounts Receivables (AR) Collections Specialists for a contract position. Candidates must be local to the South Florida area, ideally within a 30-minute drive to Delray Beach, FL.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Patient Contact & Collections:
  • Reach out to private payors or long-term care insurance providers via phone or mail to address overdue accounts and collect payments.
  • Payment Plan Management:
  • Establish and manage payment arrangements for overdue amounts.
  • Account Monitoring:
  • Track payment statuses and follow up with accounts that have missed payments.
  • Record Keeping:
  • Maintain detailed records of contact attempts, payments received, and other collection actions.
  • Reporting:
  • Submit weekly or monthly reports detailing unpaid accounts and repayment progress.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical accounts receivables/collections.
    • Proven track record of handling past-due collections, including accounts 90 days overdue.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle confidential conversations effectively.
  • Proficiency in understanding and applying billing procedures and adapting to updates.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for reconciling and inputting data quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work with written guidelines and maintain flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
  • Personality Traits:
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable.
  • A “go-getter” attitude with confidence in making collection calls.
