Senior Lead Database Platform Engineer
This role is focused on leading the architecture, engineering, automation, and modernization of enterprise database platforms across a large-scale environment. The ideal candidate will operate at the intersection of database engineering, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, security, and automation.

Must Have Experience
- 7 years of Database Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering experience
- Strong Azure cloud architecture and engineering background
- Deep Database Engineering experience with MongoDB, Redis, and distributed database platforms
- Terraform and Ansible automation expertise
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform deployments
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Platform Engineering principles
- Designing highly available, scalable, resilient database platforms
- Kubernetes and containerized platform deployments
- Performance tuning, database optimization, sharding, replication, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery strategies
- Hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architecture experience
- API-first and automation-driven platform development
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and engineering strategy for enterprise database platforms
- Lead database engineering efforts across MongoDB, Redis, and Graph database technologies
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure database solutions
- Develop automation frameworks, deployment templates, and standardized provisioning workflows
- Build self-service, API-driven database platforms
- Drive adoption of Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
- Partner with cloud, infrastructure, security, and operations teams
- Establish architecture standards, governance, and engineering best practices
- Lead performance engineering, resiliency planning, capacity management, and database optimization initiatives
- Enable Kubernetes/operator-based database management solutions
Nice to Have
- Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience
- GraphRAG, AI/ML, or knowledge graph exposure
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus
- Platform Engineering or Internal Developer Platform leadership experience
- Data governance and enterprise data architecture knowledge

- This is a hands-on Architect/Lead-level role for someone who has a strong database engineering foundation and can modernize enterprise database platforms through Azure, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable database services, defining platform standards, and driving automation across complex enterprise environments.
