About the Company
Our client is a safety equipment. They are looking for a Tax Manager who will be responsible for the Company’s global direct and indirect tax compliance along with providing strategic tax guidance for the business operations.

- Preparation and review of Canadian and International corporate tax returns and annual financial statement tax notes disclosure, in collaboration with external tax professionals.
- Supervise and review monthly, quarterly or annual tax remittances relatives to GST, HST, PST, USA sales and use tax, VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat etc.
- Assistance with international tax matters such as withholding taxes, information reporting returns/issues and transfer pricing.
- Assistance with global payroll taxes requirements.
- Monthly GL reconciliation of all tax accounts/GLs.
- Perform tax research on specific tax issues or transactions as required and draft memos outlining analysis, conclusion, and recommendations.
- Coordinate the response to income tax audits and sales tax audits with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Internal Revenue Services (IRS) and other tax authorities as required.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure adherence to finance processes and controls, emphasizing continuous process improvements and gaining efficiencies through automation.
- Manage relationships with external advisors and tax authorities.
- Remain up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance. CPA, MBA or relevant certification preferred. Completion of the CICA In-Depth tax course would be an asset.
- Canadian and US tax compliance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
Salary Range
$140,000 - $150,000/year
