Sr. E-Billing Specialist POST NUMBER: 309288
The Senior E-Billing Specialist submits invoices through each client's electronic billing system. They track every invoice until the client has fully accepted, reconciled, and paid it. Each specialist owns a portfolio of clients and needs expert knowledge of each client's e-billing platform.
Location: Dallas, TX (75201) 3 days/week On-Site
Compensation: $32-$44/hourly
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm, Expect 5-10 additional OT hours/week during Q4
Experienced Needed:
- 5 years of electronic billing experience
- Legal industry experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with medical billing experience will also be considered.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines at once
- Comfortable working closely with attorneys, management, and colleagues
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Aderant
- Experience with BillBlast and major e-billing platforms such as CounselLink, Legal Tracker, and Tymetrix/Collaborati
Day to Day:
- Work with Billing Specialists to identify finalized invoices ready for electronic submission.
- Confirm that client and matter setups are complete on both the client and firm sides.
- Coordinate with the internal Timekeeper Matter Maintenance team and with clients on setup and any new requirements during the engagement.
- Make sure client-mandated data is coded correctly in Aderant and carries over accurately to each client's e-billing site.
- Transmit invoices through BillBlast and enter data directly into client e-billing sites.
- Own the full e-billing cycle for assigned clients, through to successful submission and payment.
- Resolve rejected items, including timekeeper approvals, timekeeper rates, client matter IDs, budgets, and task and activity code issues.
- Tell Billing Attorneys and other designated attorneys about invoice rejections or reductions, and follow up or escalate when they don't respond.
- Handle sensitive, complex, or highly specialized accounts and projects.
