Senior Talent Solutions Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Talent Solutions Specialist (NOC 12101) with a strong focus on technology recruitment to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, contract recruitment environments and has a proven track record of sourcing, engaging, and placing top IT talent.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for a variety of contract technology roles, from sourcing to placement.

· Collaborate with hiring managers and clients to understand technical requirements, project needs, and desired skill sets.

· Source and screen top IT professionals, including developers, system administrators, cloud engineers, data specialists, and more, ensuring alignment with client needs.

· Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline, with a focus on contract talent ready for short-term and project-based engagements.

· Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools to identify and engage passive candidates.

· Negotiate contract terms, rates, and extensions, ensuring a smooth process for both clients and candidates.

· Stay up to date with market trends in IT, particularly within the contract space, to provide insights to clients and candidates.

· Act as a trusted advisor to candidates, offering guidance on career opportunities, contract structures, and market demand.

 

Required Qualifications:

· At least 3 years of experience in technical recruitment

· Demonstrated success in sourcing, screening, and placing IT professionals across various disciplines (Software Development, Infrastructure, Cloud, Data, Security, etc.).

· Strong understanding of the GTA tech market, including contract hiring trends and client demands.

· Proficiency with recruitment tools, including ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and job boards.

· Experience recruiting for emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, and Blockchain, with the ability to understand the technical landscape and identify talent for cutting-edge roles.

· A solid understanding of the various technology roles (e.g., Software Engineers, Cloud Architects, Data Analysts, DevOps Specialists, Cybersecurity Experts, etc.), their specific skill sets, and how they contribute to different business functions.

· Proven ability to create job descriptions that accurately reflect the technical requirements and expectations for contract roles.

· Sound knowledge of passive recruitment strategies, headhunting, and networking to source top talent, especially for hard-to-fill or specialized contract roles.

· Ability to conduct in-depth technical interviews or collaborate with hiring managers to assess candidates' technical expertise, soft skills, and cultural fit.

· Understanding of the specific requirements of contract roles, such as the need for flexibility, adaptability, and short-term project focus.

· Understanding of the contract hiring process, including contract lengths, hourly rates, pay rates, and other terms of employment.

· Knowledge of common industry standards related to contract work (e.g., invoicing, payments, benefits).

· Ability to negotiate contracts, compensation, and terms with both candidates and clients to ensure alignment.

· Prior experience working in staffing agencies or recruitment firms is a strong asset.

· Proficiency with MS Windows, Excel, Outlook, Word

 

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree

Educational courses related to People’s Management or Human Resources

 

 

Terms of the Position:

 

Full-time permanent position for 35 hours per week

Salary – $65,000 annually 15% commission
