Our client is a manufacturing company. They are looking for a Finance Controller who will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions. The Financial Controller will ensure accurate financial records and provide strategic insights to support company-wide forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making.

About the Opportunity?

Lead daily operations of the finance function and oversee a team

Provide mentorship, training, and support to finance team members.

Oversee general bookkeeping activities handled by staff.
-
Support the accounts payable and receivable processes.
-
Maintain and organize the company’s chart of accounts.

Ensure strong internal controls are in place to support accurate financial reporting.
-
Prepare daily cash position reports and weekly cash flow forecasts for leadership.
-
Manage banking activities, including account oversight and approval of vendor payments.
-
Maintain positive vendor relationships and negotiate credit terms as needed.
-
Liaise with banking partners and manage financial covenant reporting to support borrowing arrangements.

Complete month-end close processes, including reconciliations and variance reporting.
-
Deliver financial reports and insights to assist in strategic decision-making.
-
Handle government remittances (e.g., HST filings).
-
Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities across the organization.

Review product costing details to ensure accurate bill of materials for inventory and production.

Lead the budgeting process and support department leaders in monitoring financial performance.

Act as the key point of contact for IT service providers and advise on systems and data security.

Utilize SAP for financial operations and reporting.

Support pricing and tender costing for new business opportunities.

Prepare year-end financial packages for external accountants.

Provide cross-functional support to other departments when needed.
About You?
-
Professional Designation CPA
-
5 to 7 years working experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
-
Working and implementation experience with ERP system preferably with SAP.

Excellent understanding of accounting principles.
-
Able to work within tight timelines in a fast-growing business environment.

A strong internal controls and compliance knowledge.
-
Analytics-Inspired.

Salary Range?
$130,000 - $140,000/year?
