POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Credit Manager plays a pivotal role in evaluating the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and institutions related to supplying financing options to potential borrowers. The credit manager ensures that the company utilizes appropriate risk evaluation and policies/procedures in order to achieve financial goals and manage risk. This role is crucial to the efficient functioning of the credit department and organization. This position requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage credit philosophies, processes, portfolios, and reporting.
- Work with the finance team to develop on-going partnerships related to all credit needs.
- Assist with the growth of capital sources related to all on-going credit needs.
- Consistently monitor and reduce costs of capital related to all credit needs.
- Further develop financial reporting related to uses of capital.
- Manage credit portfolios and ensure data integrity in all reports.
- Assist with modeling related to on-boarding credit partners.
- Apply and manage necessary controls related to credit needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Generate reports on credit risk, outstanding debts, and collection efforts.
- Work within the cultural dynamics of the team to ensure the development of team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in credit management, financial analysis, or risk assessment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of credit laws, financial regulations, and debt collection best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and credit management tools.
- Leadership experience.
