Vaco is seeking a Cash Applications Supervisor for a client in North Atlanta. This role involves supervising and directing the daily activities of the team providing annual performance reviews and offering regular guidance and mentoring throughout the year. The Cash Applications Supervisor will also be responsible for staff training, ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures, and maintaining cash posting functions.
This role is hybrid – 3x a week on-site in North Atlanta. Only local metro Atlanta candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cash posting staff and coordinate workflow using reports in Excel.
- Provide training, education, and updates on policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Conduct interviews, hiring, orientation, training, counseling, and evaluations.
- Track cash posting errors, implement correction plans, and ensure accurate reconciliations.
- Balance daily cash receipts with bank deposits and ensure timely posting.
- Monitor unapplied payments and collaborate with staff to resolve unrecognized revenue.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. (preferred)
- Cash Applications Supervisory experience – 3-5 years (required)
- Cash Applications experience – 7 years in a high volume/large company environment (required)
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, formulas, managing heavy data sets (required)
- ERP experience (Oracle or SAP required)
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate staff and interact effectively with customers and businesses.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
