Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, and a preference for those with healthcare or multi-practice management backgrounds. This role is essential to maintaining the financial integrity of our organization through timely and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and post journal entries with thorough documentation
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures
- Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
- Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple practice locations
- Collaborate with operational and clinical leaders to ensure accurate allocation of expenses
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits
- Support the development and refinement of internal accounting processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least some exposure to general ledger functions
- Experience in healthcare accounting or multi-practice medical environments is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
- High proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical billing platforms
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
