A fast-growing private medical technology company is seeking a Controller to lead its finance function as it prepares for a potential public offering in 2025. With strong revenue growth, healthy margins, and a global presence, the company is positioned for continued expansion and is building out a finance function to support this next phase.
This leadership role will oversee all aspects of financial operations, public company readiness, and reporting compliance, with responsibility for a team of approximately 10. The ideal candidate brings a mix of public company experience and private company agility, ideally within the medical technology or life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control processes.

Manage and develop a growing finance team, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Lead IPO readiness efforts, including preparation of financial filings and coordination with external auditors and advisors.

Implement scalable processes to support growth and future public company operations.

Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term financial planning and strategy.

Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and government reporting requirements across domestic and international operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.

Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership roles in a public company setting.

Experience preparing for or participating in an IPO is preferred.

Prior background in a medical technology or related industry is highly desirable.

Big Four public accounting experience is a plus.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage cross-functional teams and navigate a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Experience working with international entities is a plus.
