Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff.
- Implement and optimize accounting software and financial systems.
- Manage banking relationships, cash flow, and financial risk.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive financial strategies and business growth.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Sage preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in landscaping, construction, or a service-based industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
