Hours: 1st shift 
Duration: contract-to-hire 
Pay: $30-32/hr and will convert to similar salary

Hiring a Lead Service Desk professional to oversee IT support operations and serve as a technical expert within a manufacturing environment.

Hands-on support for both legacy systems (e.g., Windows XP, Server 2003) and modern infrastructure (e.g., Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022, cloud services, networked printing).

Typical Day:
  • Lead day-to-day service desk operations and provide Tier 2/3 support across the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain a mix of legacy (Windows XP, Server 2003) and modern systems (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022).
  • Support printing systems including networked and industrial printers common in manufacturing environments.
  • Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades for desktops, laptops, thin clients, and peripherals.
  • Manage OS deployments, updates, and configuration across a diverse IT environment.
  • Document support issues and resolutions using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar).
  • Monitor and support manufacturing-related systems and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams for server maintenance and user access control.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
  • Assist in asset management, software licensing, and lifecycle planning.
  • Participate in IT projects, rollouts, and migrations (e.g., system upgrades, server replacements, etc.).

Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of IT support experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing environments and related hardware/software setups.
  • Windows operating systems: XP, 7, 10, 11; Server 2003 through 2022.
  • Hardware support, including desktops, servers, networking, and printers.
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Ticketing systems
