Senior Supervisor, Corporate Accounting
Our client, a well-established company in the technology and services sector, is looking for a Senior Supervisor to join their corporate accounting team. This leadership role offers the chance to manage a talented group of accountants and partner cross-functionally with departments such as Treasury, M&A, Tax, Revenue, and Real Estate. The position plays a key part in process improvement and operational excellence initiatives. This role is onsite 4 days per week in Austin, TX, with Fridays available for remote work for local candidates.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the corporate accounting team, driving performance and strategic execution
- Oversee accounting operations including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Manage internal and external audit activities, SOX compliance, and internal controls
- Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and ensure GAAP compliance
- Support M&A activities including financial due diligence and integration
- Coach and develop team members, fostering a high-performance environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; active CPA or CPA-equivalent required
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, or 4 years in public accounting
- Experience with SOX, process improvement initiatives, and US GAAP
- Proven leadership experience managing a diverse team in a corporate or public setting
Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $115K - $130K per year. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
