

Senior Manager, Financial Reporting POST NUMBER: 447452
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
Job Title: Senior Manager, Financial Reporting
Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 base Bonus Equity
Job Overview: Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will lead the financial reporting function for a high-performing accounting group. This role involves preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and coordinating with external auditors. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations, capital transactions, and financial systems improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation and review of internal and external financial reporting packages
- Manage external audit process and provide required documentation
- Prepare reports and deliverables for loan and lender requirements
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance reporting automation and efficiency
- Monitor new accounting standards and regulatory updates, drafting technical memos as needed
- Analyze contracts and business transactions for accounting implications
- Support property acquisitions and dispositions, including purchase price allocations and closing statement reviews
- Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes
- Provide financial insights and support on special projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years of relevant financial reporting experience
- Background in public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred)
- CPA designation preferred
- Experience with real estate or asset-intensive industries is a plus
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with financial reporting systems a bonus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
